Cow Day!!!

Free food? We're in!

For the second year we dressed up in our cow attire and headed to chick-fil-a. Audrey kept yelling, "Eat more Chicken!" We had SUCH a fun time. Two of the young women came with us as well as Michelle.
GREAT times!

Change of Plans

The girls were all ready to go swimming, we were just waiting for the call from a friend to meet her. Well, turns out the weather had other plans. Oh how it started to pour. As I started organizing the closet instead, I walked past the girls with their swimming suits still on. I looked outside, looked at them and said, "Go for it! You have your suits on, go get wet!!!"
Little change in plans but wet all the same.

Hallie does not like to be wet as much as her sisters. ;)

Really?

FIRST day of the summer the kids are fighting like cats and dogs. REALLY? I put the kibosh on that really quick.

Had my hard drive crash AND there was an error in the time machine so it didn't have my files backed up. Now we have to pay to get our files and pictures back. At least we CAN, right?

Realized I signed up the girls for swimming lessons the week I went to camp. Nice.

Spent a week at girls camp and found out my blood is too tempting for those bugs. Off and all they couldn't stay away. Buggers.

Went to a "FREE carnival" and wished I hadn't told my kids we were going. They served cold hot dogs. Enough said.

Decided that when you pay thousands of dollars in monthly premiums, then you finally go to the Dr. your health insurance still won't cover all of it. Oh don't get me started.

Realized that after 4 children my brain will never function as it once did. I organized a musical duet and was supposed to practice this morning before church. I set up the practice for crying out load. Well friends, I stood up the Alto and the pianist and although we were on the program...WE DIDN'T sing.

Now for some positive summer moments:
Realized that it doesn't matter how many kids I have, when I am away from them I miss them more than I thought possible. Coming home from girls camp was the best day ever.

The girls love going places and don't care if it's 120 degrees outside. They love to have fun.

I love having my sister in law live with us. Michelle is so fun and I love having her here!!!

I dreaded my 30th birthday but my family and friends made it the most special birthday I have had thus far. It was one awesome day!!!

Counting down the days I get to see my family in Utah. I haven't been there in a year. AND I get to see my brother that I haven't seen it 2 and a half years.

What are you up to this summer?

Joy School Graduate

Since Audrey has been to Claire's K graduation as well as her Daddy's she is very aware of what they are. When I told her she was having joy school graduation you should have seen the smile on her face. It was precious.

Audrey and Jason.

I love this face of hers.
Way to go Audrey!!! We're proud of you, sis!

Texas Rain

I love the rain in Texas. I love the thunder storms. And I love the puddles. This year the Easter Bunny brought rain boots we have been waiting for the first good rain....and waiting. Well, we finally got it.

The girls had a blast and did NOT want to come in.

They got SOAKED!

At one point I had Julia in my arms and as I jumped she would giggle and giggle. It was so cute.

Wishing she could be a big girl...

Hooray for our puddle jumping afternoon! Hope we get some more of that rain!

Birthday Girl!

Julia May turned one! We had a wizard of oz/munchkin land party with a yellow brick road, lollipops, glenda wands and lots of munchkins! We had so much fun.

Thanks to my sister Steph, Julia had a darling birthday girl shirt. I LOVE it!

And thanks to my friend Mandy, we had amazing cake pops to eat. They are so fun to make!

We had a lollipop for each munchkin with their picture on it! The kids LOVED these but I learned my lesson! ;)

Michelle did a GREAT job taking pictures, didn't she? I love them!!!

And thanks to Mandy and Michelle for helping me decorate!!! Never could have pulled it off without you!

We had lots of friends, great food (gotta love Costco pizza), and one adorable birthday girl!

The Bargain Hunter in Me

I have a love for shopping, but I have an even bigger love for bargains. When you put the two together I am one REALLY EXCITED shopper! I bought all of this:

Which is:
3 gallons of milk
10 boxes of Honey bunches of Oats
12 boxes of Frosted Mini Wheats
1 box granola bars
2 boxes of nutri grain bars
9 boxes of pop tarts (they have unfrosted ones)
18 eggs
10 yogurts
1 bag of nut clusters
1 frozen pizza (I have to have at least one in my freezer for back up)
8 cans of mandarin oranges
Mckormick mesquite seasoning to grill with
Bananas
And candy to bribe 2 of the 3 kids I had with me!

All for $54.76
I got the cereal all for $1 a box.
the BIG pizza for 2.99.
the milk for 1.38 a gallon...

I got $161.88 worth of groceries for $54 bucks. Obviously this isn't all we buy for the week for groceries but I stock up on cereal when it's this cheap. I hit these big sales 2 times/week or every 2 weeks with the coupons and then I go to Walmart to get the rest of our groceries.

A lot of people have been asking me what I do and how much I save. If you have any questions shoot me an email!
