Off to School!

I can't believe today is the first day of school. Claire and Hallie were both really excited but they both said they were a little scared. This morning started with Hallie having a dream she was peeing and woke up wet and Claire got a bloody nose. Baths for both!
We got out the door only about 8 minutes behind schedule. Not too bad...
I dropped Claire off first. She was super excited.

Audrey on the other hand cried her eyes out. She misses her sisters SOOOO much.

She looks so old to me. I love her more than I can say and am sad to be away from her all day again. I love you, Claire.

Audrey insisted on walking Hallie to school. She wanted to go with her so bad. Hallie was so sweet with her.

I was worried Hallie would cling to me and cry but she did great. The teachers helper came to her side and helped her find her cubbie. Way to be brave, Hallie!

I love you, Hallie! You are sooo special to me and I will miss you tons and tons!

We left the house this morning at 7:26.
Got to Claire's school at 7:56.
Got to Hallie's school at 8:10.
Got home at 8:49.
Left to pick Halie up at 10:26.
Got Hallie at 11:00.
Got home at 11:30.
Left to pick up Claire at 2:30.
Got Claire at 3:10.
Got home at 3:40.
Total time driving and waiting in pick up lines: 217 minutes; 3 hours 37 minutes.
Yeah, October isn't going to come fast enough! ;)

When I picked up Hallie she gave me a BIG hug! The first thing she said was, "Thanks for the card, Mom." I asked her what her favorite part of the day was thinking she would say, "playing on the playground, eating snacks, hanging my backpack in the cubby, or drawing." But her response was, "Getting a note from you." How precious is that? She didn't even know what it said, she just loved that it was pretty and was from me. As we got home she said, "I can't wait to go to school tomorrow." I said, "Hallie I'm so happy!!!" And she says from the other room, "I get to wear another outfit." Spoken like a true girl.

Claire had a great first day as well and talked about meeting new friends. I knew she would but as a mom you worry like crazy about stuff like that. Her favorite part of the day was lunch. She told me that was when she got my note. I didn't realize just how much they love getting notes from me so I will definitely be doing that more often!!!

Your girls are so cute. Poor Audrey, how sweet are her and Hallie. Braeden kept asking where his sisters were today. And Chase's face lit up when we picked them up.

I love it when their school day goes well. :o)

All have to send Amanda a note in her lunch box, what a cute idea. All have to save the idea for Hailey next year. I am glad they did so really. It really makes it easier on us when they are happy at school and so excited to go.

Kindergarten is half day there? Such cute girls. I'm glad Micah doesn't seem to care that Briel is gone. He asks where she is but that's about it. Then they continue fighting/arguing when she gets home. ;) Kids!!!!!!
