Six Flags!

We have had so much fun with Megan. We have had trips to the library, lake, movies, hobby lobby, malls and more malls, wet zone, restaurants, shipley's donuts, and more. We've taken trips to Waco, Longview, and Denton. We've gone swimming, bowling, out to eat, watched chick flicks, read mysteries, played yahtzee, and had a total blast. We made a scrapbook of her trip here and made lots of projects. I can't believe 6 weeks has already gone by. For the last day Megan was here I asked her what she wanted to do. Pedicure? Movies? Six Flags? It was a no brainer...she chose six flags. So on Saturday Megan and I went. We had a blast together.

Yeah, we went on this roller coaster and about threw up. Kid you not, it goes 70 miles per hour. You do the whole coaster going forward and then you shoot up that tall part that is straight up and then you do the track again backwards. We we screaming our heads off. Needless to say we could hardly walk after and had to take a little break! ;)

I talked Megan into going on the superman ride, straight up and straight down. It didn't hold a candle to that roller coaster she had me go on. Man I feel old. My stomach was sick all day and even that night. But it was worth it.

We asked these cowboys to take a picture with Meg. She is telling Troy (her stepdad) that the one on the bottom is her boyfriend.

We of course had to take her to eat Texas BBQ before she left. It was so yummy. Right down to the peach cobbler and bluebell ice cream for dessert! She loved it.

I have to say that it has been wonderful having Megan here. Yes, I will miss how much of a help she was and all that she did for us. But most of all, it's her company I will  miss. Having her here these past 6 weeks was like having a best friend/sister to hang out all the time with. I adore her and am so happy she came to stay with us.  All of us have done some good crying...even Audrey. We love you, Megan!

See you next summer...

Good Morning!

Every morning starts out with Audrey climbing into my bed. Lately Julia has been having her awake time next to me cause I just don't want to get up. Those mornings are Audrey's favorite...and mine. Julia is showered with hugs and kisses.
(Please note bib #1.)

Before long all 4 of my girls are in my bed.
(3 minutes later, bib #2.)

Bib #2 already already getting wet.

...and 5 minutes later bib #3. It kills me up how many bibs that baby goes through. Man she is cute. So worth all the changes of clothes and sheets I go through! ;)

She loves sitting up in the bumbo.
I love these mornings!

Cow Appreciation Day!

When my neighbor Dawn came over and told me anyone that went to chick-fil-a dressed like a cow got a free meal I was all over it. Free meal and all I had to do was put on spots, ears, and eat more chicken signs? Sign me up.
I promised my sister I would post pictures so here they are. The dressing up part took longer than I thought, but we made it. Zeb, however, was not hot on the idea. Shocker. ;)

I look pretty sweet with the cow nose, ears, no make up, and frizzy hair. The nose makes my eyes look so close together that I look handicapped. Glamourous huh? At least the kids will remember how fun it was, let's at least hope so! Although we all look kind of solemn. GREAT picture.

When we got to the counter to order our food Claire says in her funny tone, "Do they have any hamburgers." She is s hoot.

Audrey got pretty hot in her costume. 110 degrees in that outfit, yikes. She was a trooper though!

Hallie kept telling me, "I don't like people laughing at me." I kept trying to tell her they weren't laughing at her, it was with her cause she looked so cute, but she wasn't buying it!

There were a ton of people that dressed up. The place was packed soon after we got there. My sister in law Jenn that lives in Virginia took her 4 kids dressed as cows. She was on the news and in the paper. How great is that?
Good times.

Swim Time!

We went swimming today at a friends house. The girls had a blast and I even took Julia in for a bit. She loved the water.
(Don't look at me in these pictures, just Julia. ;)

I LOVE this clip of the girls!

Secret?

I am writing to all you out there to let me in on a secret. We have no summer lessons, no school or places we really need to be, and yet I feel like I am going a million miles a minute at home.
Lately I have been feeling exhausted. I feel like I am never caught up on things. Just when something gets clean something else gets dirty. Just when the laundry is done, another load is waiting. I even have Megan here helping and yet I still find myself tired and behind on almost everything.
So I guess I am asking all of you if you know a secret I don't?
Is the difference between 3 and 4 kids that things never really get completely done, or am I missing something? Is it wrong for me to want my house looking the way I want it to? Or am I wiped out from the last 3 years of school?
All I know is I feel like I am drowning in all that needs to be done and need to come up for air. How do I do that?
HELP!

Leah

P.S. Here is a picture of the girls after a ward luau where they had their faces painted. They LOVED it!

Julia starting to giggle and boy is it cute. This was my attempt at getting a big smile out of her for all of you. Yeah, it didn't work so well. But one of these days I WILL get a cheeser for you!
