If Only!

If only I could fall asleep in the middle of the living room floor and wake up to happy kids, a clean house, and dinner in the oven.

If only I could sleep when and where I wanted. If that were the case I would choose my bed...now.

Especially after a day like today and a night like last night. I wanted to take a nap today more than anything (and quite frankly I NEEDED one).  But in the end it was my kids that got to sleep.
The joy of being the child and not the adult.

If only! ;)

We have been having days and nights like that but I don't have a newborn. Hopefully, you will get some rest this weekend. But doesn't that feel so far away when it is only Tuesday?

I don't think that I could survive without our sunday afternoon nap. I wish that I could get one everyday but no luck. The baseball game looked like a lot of fun. We got to go to a Durham Bull's (minor league) when Ethan was small, he wasn't a fan of the mascot but I think that he had a good time.

If only you would have called me to pick up those kids so you could have taken that nap. If only. Next time.

Oh how I LOVE this post. Spoken from the heart of a Mama of a new baby..her fourth! You will get a full nights rest again...even if it seems like you never will. Just keep reminding yourself of that. It will come...

Oh, Pee! After one night of having a newborn and sleeping a mere four hours (not all at once), I have a whole new respect for you and your doing this with three other kids at home who need your time, attention and love. You are amazing. I love you more than words can say.

Pee-
Hang in there. I am sorry you didn't get a nap. It seems like the days I needed it the most, it didn't happen. Put on a movie if you have to. Love you. With I could watch the girls while you sleep. Julia will get better at sleeping.
XOXOXO
