Someone is Spoiled!

As you can tell Julia has been given lots of cuddles! Megan is great with her and loves to hold her. Julia doesn't mind the attention, in fact I'm beginning to think Julia prefers Megan. ;)
Last night Julia was fussy so I handed her to Megan while I got her bed ready.
Suddenly the crying stopped. I walked right up to Julia, smiled and said, "I see how it is, you stop crying when Megan is holding you!"
Julia's response? She smiled at me. It was hilarious. She just gave me a big open mouth grin. She is so adorable!

She knows what she wants....

Little miss Julia is such a sweetheart. She cracks me up with how particular she is. She knows exactly what she wants.

1. She will only take a binkie if she is in the sling (although now she prefers her fingers).
2. She has to sleep in the swing and prefers to be moving when she is awake.
3. She does not like the car to be stopped and cries until it moves.
4. She wants to be on the sidewalk when going for a walk (she likes the bumps in the concrete) and will cry if I go on the road.

She is starting to talk like crazy. I couldn't hear the lesson on Sunday because she was talking so loud.  I love it!

She had her check up at 2 months and 2 weeks. She is 12 pounds 15 ounces (50th%tile) 23.5 inches (75th%tile) and her head is in the 90th%tile! She is growing like crazy and I just love her cheeks!

Here are the girls at the spay park. My niece Megan came from Utah for six weeks and it is so great to have her here. We are able to do more fun things this summer since she is helping.

Julia gets very serious when she starts sucking her fingers. She is too funny.

I Love my little pumpkin!

For Real...

Zeb really is a lawyer. He was sworn in today at the Federal Court House in Dallas. It was awesome.

When I met him at the office just before the ceremony I glanced at his name plaque outside his door.
It says, "Zeb Fish."
Zeb Fish. He's a lawyer.
School is behind us?
Man it's crazy. Yipee!

BeSt BIrtHdAY eVeR!!!

The morning of my Birthday didn't start off too great. I was stressing about the house, feeling sad to be away from my family and friends, and trying to be positive. I ended up crying on the phone to Zeb. Well, being the sweet husband he is, he surprised me and took the afternoon off work. He called me while I was at Walmart trying to shop with 3 kids and a crying baby. He met me there are came to my rescue. So we got to spend the whole afternoon with him!!! He asked me what I wanted to do and I said I wanted to have a water balloon fight with the girls. So we went home and had a BLaSt in the backyard.

The balloons were gone in about 2 minutes so we borrowed our neighbors slippin slide. I even joined the girls. No pictures though, they are incredibly scary.

It was so much fun to play WITH the girls. I don't do that enough. I loved every minute.

After running through sprinklers and squirting each other with the hose we went inside.
Claire said to me, "Usually big people's birthdays aren't very fun for us but this was GREAT!" Then we gave each other the thumbs up sign. ;)
Zeb got the girls all ready and in their jammies then made dinner!
Our cute neighbor Brooke made a cake for me and the fam sang. After Zeb put the girls to bed we put a chick flick on, ate junk food and just relaxed.
It WAS pretty great, Claire! Thanks to my sweet husband and wonderful girls. Pretty much the best birthday ever!

Last Week of School

Claire has been so excited about her last week in school. We are SO excited to have her home every day this summer!

The girls and I went to Claire's awards day in her classroom. Claire received the "Couch Award" (that's the name of her school) for outstanding citizenship and character. Only one child receives it so I was pretty excited for her. She also got a certificate for perfect attendance and A honor roll. She was very excited and couldn't wait to tell her Dad. Way to go sis!

I snapped this picture of Claire and Hallie walking home afterwards. They are such good friends.

Today is backwards day at school. She wore her shirt and pants backwards, mismatched shoes and one sock. I also did her hair backwards and crazy. When I went to part her hair down the middle she said, "You can't part it, it's supposed to be crazy!"

Here is her hair do up close!

Hallie of course wanted some crazy things too so she wore her dress backwards and mismatching socks. She has really wanted to be in school but I have been working with her at home. She is reading and loves it! Claire will sit down with Hallie in the morning before school and work on reading. You are a great reader, Hallie!

Little Miss Audrey has been working on going potty in the toilet and is totally POTTY TRAINED! Wahoo! You are such a big girl, Audrey!

I am so proud of my girls!

8 Weeks

Julia is 8 weeks. She'll be 2 months old tomorrow. Time is going so quickly and my little newborn is entering the baby stage.  It's happening too fast. It always does. I love her more than words can say and can't kiss her enough!

She is the most serious of my babies, at least for now. Man I love it when she smiles. It melts my heart. She is starting to talk and we get a good conversation going, just the 2 of us. We spent last weekend in the ER. She had a fever, she caught hand foot and mouth from Audrey, and when newborns have fevers you don't wait around. You take them right in. They have to run all sorts of tests. Blood work. Even a spinal tap. It broke my heart to watch her bring poked and pricked. My eyes just welled up with tears as I rubbed her little head and told her it was almost over. The worst was when they blew a vein and had to start all over on the other hand for the IV. Luckily all the tests were fine and she is all better now. I am so grateful for a healthy and happy baby. I love you Julia. You light up my life.

I recorded a little clip of Julia this morning but I can't get it to load on Blogger. Maybe tomorrow!

Oh so fun!

Claire has been so cute lately doing things for her little sisters. She makes them forts, plays school, and comes up with great ideas. She sets up centers around the toy room for the girls to learn at. Math center, reading center, etc. It's adorable. The other day I heard her and Hallie playing in my room. Claire was asking Hallie math questions and if she missed them she had to do 5 push ups. SO FUNNY!

As I am potty training Audrey she came up with the idea of Audrey being the line leader in order to get her to go to the bathroom. It worked like a charm! Audrey will go in a heart beat as soon as I utter the words, "Audrey, come be the line leader to the bathroom." Claire LOVES being a big sister and helps me when she doesn't even realize it.

The other day after making a fort for the girls, I asked her to be my helper in the "Beauty Parlor." We dressed them up in skirts, painted toenails and fingernails (different colors of course), did hair with flowers and ribbons, put on necklaces and bracelets, a little makeup and....

rest assured, we did NOT forget the lip gloss.

After that we headed off to the Mexican Fiesta Ward Party. I love having girls.
