Today Claire got her first Star Reader Dog Tag from her AR program. She has been talking about getting dog tags for several weeks now and has finally gotten them. It took a while since I was only having her read a book a week for the first several months. After realizing she could do more than that she now does 3-4 books/quizzes a week. So it took longer than normal to get them but once we figured it all out she got her tags! She LOVES to read and is doing great.In order to celebrate this milestone we went to none other than Chuck E Cheese!
She was so excited and so were Hallie and Audrey!
Her and Hallie had a blast playing all the games. They loved air hockey.
Audrey, however has recently developed a phobia for things that move which really has me stunned. She did NOT like the horse ride! Poor kid. And yes, I did get her off when I knew she really didn't like it.
While we were there the worker was making rounds from game to game making sure they all worked. He would leave the tickets in the dispenser and said we could have them. Claire was so stoked. She announced "Lucky Day" more than once and was SO excited. She walked around the place several times to look for tickets. She didn't miss one!
Here is a picture to let you know that Audrey was not traumatized from the moving rides! After Chuck E Cheese I took them to get a Blizzard and you would have thought is was Christmas. Claire kept talking about it being the best day of her life cause she got dog tags, tons of tickets, 3 prizes AND a blizzard. Thank goodness for coupons, the freebies made it all possible.
Good job, Claire! we are so proud of you.
Oh and Zeb takes his last final, for the whole summer, tomorrow! Hallelujah!

Leah! I can't believe I found your blog! I haven't seen you in such a long time. You're girls are adorable! I can't believe you have three! I didn't know Zeb was in law school. We just finally finished the student thing too last week. Oh the joys of student life! So fun to get updated on how you're doing on your blog!

Haha. I LOVED the pictures and am happy to see that Audrey will not have lasting trauma. :) I can just hear Claire going on about what a great day it was. I wish I had been there. I miss you guys like crazy. Congrats to Zeb. It is a good feeling to be able to take a break and breathe. I'll come up for air tomorrow.
Argh, Zeb beat me by a week. My last final isn't until Wednesday, and then i still have to input all my students grades. I am glad the girls had fun and such "luck". We look forward to seeing you guys soon. ;]
What a fun day...even though it sounds a little exhausting for you! Congrats on the last final Zeb! What a relief right?

Tell Claire we are so proud of her on her dog tags. She is such a cutie. And Zeb, that is exciting you are done with exams. Just don't tell Abe cause it will make him very jealous. He has another 10 weeks or something until his break. ~Meredith
i remember when those kinds of days were the best days ever. i wish i could go back. btw - love the picture of audrey freaking out on the ride. poor thing. anyway, i'm getting bleary eyed from all the studying. but, good news...i'll be done on friday and finished with my first year of law school! i'm so excited!!! so friday, after crim law is over, will be my lucky day!
